Central Indiana Division - Midwest Region - NMRA
Other Tour Layouts...
The ECI (East Central Indiana) and the 1946 Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey
Circus Train layout are but two of the features on the Friday night and Sunday
layout tour of the at the NMRA Midwest Region Spring Convention "Indy '95"
in Anderson and Indianapolis Indiana.
Here are 5 more of the featured Anderson layouts.
Norm Reimondo's "The Home Line"
is an 'L' shaped N scale layout
running primarily through Western PA. A Subsidiary of the Erie &
Lackawanna, it serves the cities of Oil City, Meadville, Erie and
Titusville. The older section of the railroad runs through the hills
of Pennsylvania and is essentially complete with scenery while
construction is still underway on the newer section that features a
true to scale scratch built 540 ft Lake Freighter.
Bill Jenkins'
HO scale layout runs from the plains to the mountains.
It features a large ravine, a 3 foot bridge and a scratch built Union
Station. Scenery and signaling are started on the 350 ft dual main
line with 1.5 percent grades and a 5 track yard.
Mike and Alicia Nicoletti's
HO scale layout is primarily B&O, C&O and
Western Maryland. It is located in the Air Conditioned second floor
of a 16 x 24 barn.
The Anderson Model Railroad Club
is located on the 3rd floor of the
Anderson Public Library. The club has four scales represented; N, HO
and O and S Tinplate.
Dave and Pat Newby's
N scale railroad highlights the scenic
Appalachian Foothills with some local areas added.
These are only the Anderson layouts. There are many more large and
varied layouts on the Indianapolis and Kokomo portion of the Layout
Tours including the Indy N scale layout featuring the award winning
scratch-built Indianapolis Union Station.
Model Railroading is still alive and well in Central Indiana. Come
see us on June 9th, 10th and 11th. I think that we will be well worth
the trip.
