In September of 2004, Matt Hewitt began construction of the N Scale 'Middlefork Branch of the Southern Ry' Raffle Layout to be given away at the Danville Meet on Sunday April 10, 2005 at Danville, IN. The drawing will take place at 2 PM. Each chance is a $1.00 donation to the CID with the donor filling out one raffle ticket per dollar donation. The layout will appear at each Meet between now and then. Larry Gilbert donated much of the N scale track and cars that is going into layout, with Matt Hewitt and others contributing time. materials and effort in the construction.

You can watch the layout take shape right here through photos as it developes and, of course, see it in person at Carmel, GATS, Noblesville and Danville where it will be presented in completed form and the winning ticket will be drawn. The winner does not need to be present to win.

So, let's begin...
Matt spend some time working out a track plan that could be expanded from either end if the owner should desire.

And then along came Frank Hughes, MMR and Keith Gamble who enjoyed putting in several hours work.

At the Indy GATS show October 16th and 17th, the N Scale 'Middlefork Branch of the Southern Ry" Raffle Layout was introduced

Nov. 3rd
Tom Fitzsimmons picked up the Middlefork to wire the layout for the control panel to come later. He fastened it into a cradle to make his work easier. (Great idea!) And then tested it afterward.
