Dick Harrison's HO Railroad Layout.
The Lehigh & Western in a 12 X 18 foot second floor room features a single-track folded dog-bone layout with an automatic block control system. Three trains can run simultaneously and the two on the 150-foot main will run and pass automatically according to the route levers program. Dick is a retired electronics engineer and designed the control system. The layout includes lighted buildings, street/yard lights, flashing water tower lights, animated billboards and caboose/passenger cars lights that don't dim with the varying track voltage. Also there are half dozen sound effects that accent the layout scene. The Lehigh & Western's prototype area is the Lehigh and Hudson River Railway that ran from Easton, PA to Maybrook, N.Y.
